A productivity suite that is compatible with other major office suites, and available on a variety of platforms.
On September 28, 2010, some members of the OpenOffice.org
Project formed a new group called The Document Foundation, and made
available a rebranded fork of OpenOffice.org which was based on the
upcoming 3.3 version: LibreOffice.
LibreOffice is a productivity suite that is compatible with other major office suites, and available on a variety of platforms. The goal is to produce a vendor-independent office suite with ODF support and without any copyright assignment requirements. Give X-LibreOffice a try to fully assess its capabilities!
Note: this package includes all 104 languages and offers to the user the option to choose one of available languages, including the dictionary of chosen language, removing all other languages.
